Wally Richardson: Soul Guru (1968)
Highly entertaining jazz guitar album full of 1960s flavours like boogaloo, pop, raga, blues, even surf.
This should appeal to lovers of jazz guitar and soul jazz, fans of Gabor Szabo and Grant Green and generally everyone who enjoys twangy 1960s guitar.

Many, many thanks...
This album is quite irresistible and I've listened to it at least 4 times now. It's simply chock full of soulful, funky, groovy, guitar work and just tons of fun to listen to. Fans of acid jazz should really like this one too. I really can't pick a favorite but I dig the nice horn arrangement and 12-string guitar work on "Lonely Rider". I couldn't keep my feet from tappin' and my head from bobbin' every time I listened to it. Thanks very much for this groovy platter LPR!
What this album really makes me want to do is get up and dance me some Nitty Gritty like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8S3Yt-NxY0E
